Athletic Strategy Development

Jonny's success was supported by Crimson's comprehensive athletic strategy
Crimson paired him with experienced D1 coaches, which paired him with experienced rugby coaches who brought extensive collegiate coaching expertise. This guidance included personalized strength and conditioning plans, position-specific skill development, and strategic tournament selection. Working with Crimson's network of rugby specialists, Jonny received tailored feedback on crucial elements like tackle technique and decision-making, while also accessing integrated academic support, standardized test preparation, and eligibility guidance.

Working with his recruitment team, Jonny created a comprehensive profile that showcased not only his match highlights but also his potential for development within St. Bonaventure's renowned program.

Academic Integration

Academics were as important as Rugby to Jonny:
Understanding the importance of academic excellence, Jonny worked diligently to balance his intensive training schedule with academic preparation. St. Bonaventure's strong academic support system for student-athletes, coupled with its reputation for student success, played a key role in his decision. The university's location and strong rugby culture offered the perfect environment for him to thrive both on and off the field.

Coach Connection

Building strong relationships with college coaches
The connection with St. Bonaventure's coaching staff was instrumental in Jonny's recruitment. Through campus visits and detailed correspondence, he developed a strong relationship with the coaching staff who recognized his potential to contribute to the program's success. His experience in high-level competitions translated well to the collegiate format, and the coaches presented a clear vision for his role on the team.
